Special Collections & Archives
The Library has a growing collection of Carson-Newman materials to support historical research of the college. Many of these materials are housed in the Special Collections Department located on the third floor. In addition this department also houses some rare books and a growing collection of Southern Baptist and Appalachian resources. These collections are open during the regular semesters Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (except for Tuesday when the hours are from 8:30 - 10:30 am) and other hours by appointment. Baptist Archives
The Baptist Archives preserves historical records and materials for the purpose of making that heritage a living influence for the faculty, students, and administration of the College, and to share that heritage with the Baptist churches of East Tennessee. All materials are non-circulating but are available for use by staff, students, scholars, and the general public. (For further information about Special Collections visit their web site.
